Our First Big Snow

We got our first big snow over the weekend. Vince said we got 9 inches, I don't know about that...


Laci had fun watching Mommy and Daddy shoveling the driveway. We informed her that in another 10 years she will be doing the shoveling while we sit inside where it is warm.

Visit with Santa

Laci went to see Santa Clause on Saturday. She did really well, she sat on his lap for a couple minutes, long enough to snap the picture, than she cried.

First Snow of the Year

We had our first snow of the season Dec 5. Lisa, our babysitter, brought some snow in and put it in her kitchen sink for the kids to play with. How FUN! Laci loved it and she made her first snowman.

Working on Potty Training

We have started working on potty training with Laci. She has her moments, sometimes she pees, other times she just sits, and sits and sits. At least I can not get her to sit on the potty chair instead of keep getting up.

Baby's Best Friend

Darla came to visit Thanksgiving week. Laci loves Darla, and Darla....tolerates Laci. I was out cooking in the Kitchen one Saturday morning and I walked out to the living room and found this. Laci sat up there with Darla for at least 20 minutes.

Halloween

Finally some Halloween pictures! Laci went as an IU Cheerleader. We went around to about 10 houses and she really loved it. She started saying Trick or Treat toward the end of our journey. We than went home to pass out candy with Daddy. Laci got her first taste of unrestricted candy. She threw a fit when we took her bucket away. Next you should be lots of fun!

A Week at Mame and Grampies

While Mommy and Daddy spent their time in Florida, I got to spend the week at Mame and Grampies. I had so much fun and kept them running all week! I didn't miss my Mommy and Daddy at all, at least I didn't tell them that, I was a big girl. I also got to spend a couple days with my big sister, Kinsey. I got to go and visit my Great Grandma Katie and I got to spend time with my cousins. Sadie went with me. Even though I had a great time visiting them I was so happy to get home. Just like Mommy and Daddy said, it's great to get away but even better to get back home.

P.S. Thank you so much Mame and Grampie for taking such good care of me. I had so much fun and look forward to spending more time with you guys, if Mommy and Daddy will let me go.

VACATION

We spent our vacation in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Had a wonderful time and the weather was much better than it was the last time we were in Florida. Back one week and now there is a hurricane heading their direction. We got out just in time.



We spent our days at the pool and would come back in around 3 and take a nap, or at least Jeff always did!




Here is a picture of Jeff and I, we had a picture taken in this very same pose and location seven years ago and it sits in a frame in our living room. We look pretty good, just a little older.




After our daily nap we went for Happy Hour. Since my surgery, it only takes me one drink and I am feeling VERY good! Here I am enjoying my Mai Tai at Coconuts on the Beach.

We did get to see the space shuttle launch on Tuesday. That was pretty cool and if we had had a better camara you might be able to enjoy it as much as we did.

Cocoa Beach has a new Harley Davidson Store, so of course we had to check it out.

Welcome Baby Neese!

Momma and Baby are doing just fine! Sarah gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Wednesday evening. Congratulations Bryan and Sarah! She is so precious!

My own pool!

That's right, I found out that Mom and Dad have been holding out on me. The other day I was looking through the shed and found this pool! How cool, I have my own pool! Well, I have to share it with Sadie, she likes to drink the water and walk through it but it's still my own pool!

Interim Babysitter

Laci got to spend a week at Sarah's the first of August. Sarah is my nephew's wife and she is expecting Sept 10th. She is a school special ed teacher so she had her summer off. She was more than happy to watch Laci for the week while our regular babysitter, Lisa, was on vacation. Laci did so well with Sarah. I was a little nervous because Laci has been pretty clingy lately and she doesn't know Sarah very well. Well that's changed now. They are best buds. Sarah had a great time with Laci and really got a feel for what the baby thing was going to be like. Sarah even taught Laci some sign language in that week, she knows eat, shoes, more and all gone. It amazes me how quickly she picked up on it. We are definitely looking forward to Sarah watching Laci again next summer for a week if she can handle it with her little girl.

Sarah, Thanks so much for your special care of Laci and we are so anxious to meet your new little bundle of joy in just a couple weeks!!

Laci got to take her first trip to the zoo with Sarah and Bryan. Mommy and Daddy haven't even been there with her yet. She had a great day and said everything was a 'dog'.

Whew, Laci was pooped after her day at the Zoo. Mommy and Daddy are looking forward to going in September with Kinsey. We are waiting on some cooler weather!!

One evening Jeff was outside with Laci pulling weeds while Cindy was walking. When Cindy came home this is how she found Laci!

We went to the mall up in Fort Wayne back in July and we forgot to take the stroller so Laci got to ride in the cool yellow car stroller. It kept her entertained while we shopped. She thought it was pretty cool!

Day at the Lake

Laci and Cindy got to spend a day off work at the Lake with Kinsey, Mame and Grampie. Laci absolutely loves the water.
