Happy Easter

Hope everyone had a great Easter!

The Dornick Family getting ready to head out to Easter Service.

Laci, Brianna and Grandma Katie

That's the Life

Kinsey was so kind as to give Laci a pedicure Saturday, while Laci sat in her highchair and ate ice cream. What a great idea, I think all those nail salons should have bon bons for us to munch on while we are getting our pedicures. I will have to remember to suggest that next time I am in.

Laci Learns to Cook!

Laci loves to be in the kitchen with us. On this particular morning we let us help us out with the cooking. Boy was this a mistake. Now she wants to pull the chair over all the time. Just think next thing you know she will be making us breakfast in bed!

Another Big Day

The day after Laci got her first haircut, Mommy took her to get her ears pierced. Oh what an ordeal that was. Sorry no pictures of this. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing. I had been wanting to take her and we were up at Clay Terrace so I told Jeff, I'm taking Laci in to Claire's to get them pierced.

She knew something was up. Even before they did her first ear she was crying. I had to hold her while they did it. Once they did the first one, I thought, uh oh, I don't think we are going to get this second one done. Needless to say, we did. It was horrible, I wish I had done it when she was a little younger. Again, when we were done she got another sucker so all was well. She did really well with them. Until the next morning!

The next morning I went in to get Laci up and one of her earrings was missing. SHIT! It was laying in her bed. Do you think she would let me put that back in her ear? NO! So I called Claire's later that day and they told me it would have to heal and we would have to bring her back in and have that one done again. UGH! NOT AGAIN!

So last Wednesday we went back over and had the second ear done AGAIN. And of course she remembered, it was worse than the first time. We really needed a vice to put her head it, but I was able to hold it still while Jeff held her and held her arms down. This time we came prepared with a sucker. Thankfully this whole ordeal is done and Laci's ears are pierced. She really does look cute with her ears pierced. I will get an updated picture of her ears. She has done really well with them and allows me to clean them daily. THANK GOD! Now I know why my Dad made me wait until I was 14 to get pierced ears!

Laci's First Haircut

It's ok Honey, I promise it doesn't hurt!

I took Laci to get her very first haircut. She did very well. They just trimmed her bangs and evened out the back. We did keep the all important first lock of hair from the trim.

Such a big girl!

Once she was done she got a sucker so that made it all worth it. When I got in there, there was a little boy about 4 who was getting his haircut and he was screaming bloody murder. He was sitting on his Daddy's lap. I thought oh no! But Laci did so well. She's looking forward to her next haircut.
